Recumbents
We all know that the bicycle is the most efficient form of transport developed by man.
However conventional bicycle design forces the rider into a position that guarantees a certain level of discomfort which increases the longer you ride. That is where recumbent bikes have the edge. Spinning along on a comfortable seat, no more sore behind and goodbye to aching back, neck and hands.
Crossing continents or going to the shops, whatever type of riding you enjoy you can use a recumbent bike or trike. Even off road, check out the Orca and Condor from Optima. Extreme recumbent riding is now a reality.
For those with special needs the recumbent position in itself often enables them to enjoy the benefits of cycling. We have adapted recumbents, particularly trikes to fulfill many different requirements. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

Inspired Cycle Engineering Recumbents
The ICE recumbents are our best selling bents here at Futurecycles. There range boasts excellent ride characteristics with superb attention to detail. They are currenty the only recumbent manufacturer that we list prices for online, mainly becuase being an english company we know what the prices are.
Initially their range consisted of just trikes, now however, they have branched out to 2 wheelers and have done so to great acclaim.
We are always recommending these recumbent cycles because they are that good, the support is excellent and in a branch of cycling that deals in small quantities the value is very good.
Below is a statement from the ICE website:
"When we took over the manufacturing of the Trice in early 1999 we had one ambition; to make the Trice the best performing and most superbly finished all round touring tricycle you could buy. To do this we could draw on the experience of fourteen years of manufacture and hard use by demanding cyclists. But to take the Trice to a new level we also had to bring our own design and production experience to the task and of course take a good look at what the competition had been up to. Being demanding engineers, we rethought every aspect of the design to produce a machine that would stand up to the rigours of heavy use by all kinds of riders, and would also be a practical and highly functional machine for heavily loaded touring."
