What's it like to ride?
Starting out
Our sales experience is based on our trikes which are super easy to ride and control leaving the rider free to have all of the fun and none of the hesitation or worry.
Two wheeled machines obviously need to be balanced which initially brings in a required level of concentration and learning. We have gone to great lengths to make the B1 one of the easiest to master in it's class. Excellent adjustment ithe seat, handlebar position and front boom allow the B1 to be set up just the way you like it improving initial confidence. The seat is relatively low making it easy for the average rider to put both feet flat on the floor at a stop and heel clearance to the front wheel is good allowing tight turns and pedaling without conflict.
On the road
The B1 has amazing handling, inspiring confidence at speed combined with low speed climbing stability. This is because it has been developed by prolonged testing in the Cornish lanes which are a notoriously harsh test of any cycle. Cornish riding is also why the B1 has a fantastic gear range for steepclimbs and high speed descents. Powerful disc brakes are fitted for consistent and confident braking in difficult situations. The overall impression is of a practical, go anywhere bike that makes you feel like going for a ride!
Storing and transport
The B1 is a great bike to ride but it also has the useful ability to quickly fold up into a smaller space - great for fitting into a car or other modes of transport. One of our prototype testers has been taking the B1 to BHPC race meetings by train (which required a complete fold) competing and even winning a number of sports class races.
Which all goes to show that the B1 is not only practical but no slouch where speed is concerned.
The ICE B1 is only recommended for riders of body weight up to approximately 230 lbs, (16.5 st., 104 kg). The B1 is a relatively small compact bike and is simply not suited to a large rider. This is the weight of the rider only, not including the bike, accessories or luggage.
