We don't currently list everything we stock on our website. If it is bike related we generally have it or can certainly get hold of one for you. Below is a brief overview of our accessories including the key brands. Please give us a call on the number above if you want to check what we have.

Bags & Panniers

Brands include, Altura, Vaude, Avenir, Dawes and New Look (dutch brand not the high street chain). We try to keep stock for the avid touring enthusiast as well as the casual cyclist.

Baskets

We Stock a range of baskets for the front and back of your bike. They come in traditional wicker or modern metal mesh. Some stay attached to your bike whilst others clip on and off, very handy if you are shopping.

Bells & Horns

All new bikes come with bells (eu regulations) and we recommend them especially when riding on public paths as it as a polite way to let other path users know that you are about to cycle by. We always have bells in ours shops.

Bottles and Bottle Cages

We keep a range of bottles, from the more expensive types with insulation to your basic plastic water bottle. Add some elete to your water or juice for natural, sugar free electrolite. Bottle cages are another staple item in Future Cycles. They are usually available in black and silver.

Chains

Our Workshop is always replacing peoples worn out chains so you can be sure that we have chains for all types of bikes including bmx’s. We also carry a range of high end chains for the weight conscious riders and racers. Brands include Shimano, Sram, KMX and Massi.

Clothing

We have clothing for every season at Futurecycles, from summer shorts to winter waterproofs. Our brands include, Altura, Polaris and Corinne Dennis. Not forgetting the immensly popular Halo Headbands which are current bestsellers.

Cycle computers

Cateye Computers are the regulars here. They cover all fields from wireless cycle computers with cadence and heart rate monitors through to simple wired bike computers that tell you how fast you are going, how far and what time it is. We can also install them (for a fee).

Grips & Tapes

From racing bar tape from brands such as Prologo, special Comort grips from Ergon through to basic rubber bike grips we have something for all cyclists.

Handlebars

Racing bike handlebars, big wide mtb bars for offroad dominance in Carbon or Alluminium. Super comfy sit up and beg bars and versatile touring bars available in Alluminium and sometimes steel. If you are on a budget it is worth asking if we have any second hand handlebars lying around, because as long as they are undamaged we wont throw them away and you could get a real bargain.

Helmets

Our main helmet brands are Abus, Limar and MET. We choose these more “premium” brands of helmet because many of them pass higher Safety standards compared to “cheap” or “bargain” helmets. Please also ask about sizing and how to wear the helmet properly as this can have a huge impact on the helmets effectiveness.

Lights

Front lights, back lights, helmet lights, dynamo lights, rechargeable lights and solar rechargeable lights. All with varying degrees of cost and beam brightness. We generally stock LED light systems as they are the most efficient. Our main brands are Cateye Lights and Busch und Mueller.

Locks

We mainly have Abus cycle locks in stock. Abus have an outstanding reputation with their bike locks and cover all the bases with simple cable lock to great big U-locks. It is worth noting that if you buy a lock with a high enough security rating you can insure your bike for more at a better rate.

Mudguards

Mudguards are immensely practical for commuters and leisure cyclists and well anyone who is looking to stay clean and a bit more dry during downpours or when riding wet/muddy surfaces. We have bike mudguards for all modern wheel sizes. You can choose a permanent type or removable. generally the permanent mudguards have give better protection than the removable types.

Pedals

There are lots of pedal types to choose from. If you just want some “pedals” you probably require a simple platform pedal in either plastic or metal. We stock basic pedals, Spd’s Road type Spd’s, Toe-clippable pedals and spare pedal straps. The difference between an expensive pair of pedals and a cheap pair is mainly materials and weight. Good pedals use strong and light alluminium and high grade bearings, the cheaper ones tend to use plastic/resin/steel and low grade ball bearings. It is worth noting that there are 2 popular sizes of pedal: 9/16” and 1/2” so if you aren’t sure it is worth bringing the old ones along.

Propstands

We keep propstands in stock and they can be fitted on request (fee applies). We have different sizes for adult and kids bikes.

Pumps

Our main pump brand is 2010 quadruple red dot award winning Topeak. we pad out the range with Mt Zefal and genuine Innovations. We always try to have a range of Track pumps, portable pumps for both Road, Commuting and Offroad use and last but not least yer basic old fashioned pump for a few quid.

Racks

We keep plenty of these in stock our main supplier is Tortec, they are good strong light alluminium racks and cover leisure to heavy touring use.

Saddles

We have lightweight saddles and super comfy saddles and a few in between we also have classic leather saddles from Brooks for the classically cool riders.

Storage

Whether you want to keep your bikes lined up outside or hanging up inside we have some cycle storage solutions that we keep in stock.

Tools

When working on a bike your standard toolkit does the job fine up to a point, however, at some point you are likely to need a specialist tool/bit/widget. Well we probably do those. We also have oils, lubes, bike cleaning products and handy portable tools that you can take with when on a ride.

Tyres and Tubes

Our main bike tyre brands are Schwalbe, Continental and Panaracer. We also do Brompton tyres and budget versions of the most popular sizes. We have Road tyres, Slick tyres, Hybrid tyres, Mountain Biking tyres, BMX tyres and folding bike tyres. We endeavor to keep a healthy stock of all inner tube sizes.

Wheels and Spokes

As well as offering a wheel building service we also keep a range of ready made wheels in the most popular sizes and configurations and try to do so to suit every price budget. We also keep very good stock on spokes. If you want to replace a spoke, please bring the old one in, as a few mm can make a huge difference.

Workshop Parts

Because the mechanics repair lots of bikes it also means we have good stock on parts like gear shifters, cogs, chainsets, inner cables, outer cables, frame parts, ball bearings, replacement bubs, brakes, brake blocks etc etc...
